In collaboration with Salem Public Library, the Salem City Health
District will present an informational program about Covid-19 (the
Novel Coronavirus). The program will take place via Instagram Live on
Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 4:00 pm and posted to Facebook afterwards. The presenter will be Lynle
Hayes, current Salem City Health Commissioner.

The presentation will discuss the following topics; what we know and
don’t know about Covid-19, the risk for Ohioans and the Ohio
Department of Health’s response, the U.S. response efforts, travelers
and prevention information, currently available data and further
resource information.

Ms. Hayes has a Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University with a
concentration in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Prior to working at
Salem, she worked at Summit County Public Health (SCPH) and was
involved in the Ebola response efforts by SCPH in 2014, which received
national recognition. She is passionate about public health and
improving health outcomes in this community.
