Go Wild in the Park: Irish Folklore

Date(s) - Monday, March 20, 2017
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Salem Public Library

Do you enjoy celebrating St Patrick’s Day? Who is St Patrick and why is he celebrated in both Ireland and the United States? Come to the Quaker Room at the Salem Public Library on Monday, March 20th at 6:30pm to learn the answer to this and many other questions about Irish legends, myths and history. Why is Ireland called the Emerald Island, what’s up with those clover leaves and what exactly was the great potato famine in 1845? Of course, an Irish lesson must include information and kid activities about those tricky leprechauns! This fun and family oriented “Go Wild in the Park” program is free and open to the public.
